This is a beautiful fall colour tour around beautiful Lake Muskoka with sweeping vistas of the lake. You will pass through popular towns of Port Carling, Bracebridge and Gravenhurst, and the Muskoka Beach Rd stretch is a favourite among locals. We do not endorse drinking and driving. We recommend the driver does not drink, or you pick up brews to consume at home or back at your cottage.

Directions and Tour Highlights:

  • Start at Johnston’s Cranberry Marsh to experience the bog to bottle tour and gain a true appreciation for our beloved berry. From there take the Frank Miller Memorial Route Hwy 169 into the town of Port Carling.

  • In Port Carling, marvel at the famous Wall and boat locks. Get out of the car to walk around and get some fresh air, and stop into the Muskoka Emporium and The Muskokery to shop and to grab some delicious Raspberry Cranberry Lucky Duck Fudge.

  • Keep following Hwy 118 West to Bracebridge. Once you arrive in the charming town, make a stop at the Chapel Gallery to view their current art exhibit.

  • Visit the Little Norway Memorial at the Muskoka Airport. This unique stop showcases a proud part of Muskoka’s heritage, and will make sense why later…

  • Follow the Muskoka Beach Rd out of town, which will lead you straight to Muskoka Brewery. Try their Winter Beard brew made with real cranberries to put a little hair on your chest.

  • Travel the beautiful back road to Taboo resort and have dinner on the water at the Boathouse Grill. Be sure to order the warm apple crisp cocktail and the cranberry cheesecake.

  • Head to Sawdust City Brewing Company. You have seen the Little Norway memorial, so now you must try their signature Little Norway light beer. Also try their #cranroute feature the Blood of Cthulhu brewed with raspberries, Johnston’s cranberries, and tart cherries, bursting with flavours of rich chocolate.

  • Continue through downtown Gravenhurst and past the Muskoka Wharf, to Clear Lake Brewing Company in Torrance for a deliciously crisp Cran Raddler. You will want to take a growler home with you.
